John Moseley HNC Applied Physics, IEng MIGEMHaving worked at the National Physical Laboratory, I started my gas industry career in the Development Laboratories at Watson House. My career has covered a number of roles from service management to incident investigation. In more recent times I managed the British Gas Carbon Monoxide Incident Investigation Process. I am a member of British Standards Committee GSE 30/21, which is developing the standard for the use of electronic combustion gas analysers.

Like my colleagues, I have worked closely with HSE, Transco, Advantica, SBGI and CORGI to further gas safety. I have extensive knowledge of gas appliances and systems and their involvement in incidents. This has given me the opportunity to give many presentations to the Medical Profession, Local Authority Environmental Health Departments, Housing Associations, Estate Agencies, Landlord’s Associations and Universities to raise awareness to the dangers of CO.

I am a qualified incident investigator and expert witness and have carried out many investigations into incidents involving CO, fires and explosions.
